Vacation Retreat
Discover the charm of Summer Reds, a splendid 6-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom pet-friendly retreat nestled in the serene Monteray Shores community. Enjoy breathtaking sunrise views from the upper deck and relish the convenience of a swift 0.4-mile stroll to Dolphin Beach Access. For additional options, Sailfish Beach Access, the nearest public beach access parking lot, is just a 4-minute drive away.
Our spacious 3300 square foot home accommodates up to 14 people (10 adults and 4 children) with 3 king masters featuring en suite bathrooms, a Queen bedroom, a bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a bunkroom with 1 full/twin/twin trundle. Shared amenities include a full bathroom on the middle level, another full bathroom next to the game room on the ground level, and a half bath in the upper-level living room.
Experience tranquility in the Captain's watch on the upper level—an ideal spot to unwind under the stars with a good book. The well-equipped kitchen and game room boast a wet bar, full refrigerator, 2 sofas, foosball table, and a full-size arcade game machine for both kids and adults to enjoy. A variety of games, books, and puzzles are available for family entertainment on rainy days (located in the living room entertainment center).
As a pet-friendly home, we welcome up to 2 dogs with no weight restrictions, accompanied by a $175 pet fee. Additional dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis. It is essential that dogs are not left unattended, must be house-trained, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them. Please be mindful of our property and our neighbors' properties.

Jason and Brittany live in Alexandria, VA with their two retired racing greyhounds, Whiskey and Capt’n. After visiting Corolla for more than a decade, we were thrilled to purchase Summer Reds in early Summer 2021. We are thrilled to launch our 4th rental season with wonderful new and repeat guests!

The pool and hot tub are a plus and there was plenty of space for my family. “This place is just the best!!! We love the bagels we get each time we stay, (courtesy of the home owners) and they also took time to put a great book of recommendations together for places to visit and the best food spots to hit during our stay! It’s such a quick walk on foot to the beach, but we have the convenience of a pool to ourselves when we want to stay in… plus the hot tub! The lower level is so fun for nights in, there’s a game machine and foosball table, and we’ve had several great nights down there! There’s great shopping and food within a few minutes walk… Sundawgs, Mama Easleys, and the chicken coop to name a few! We are so looking forward to our next family trip in August!!!”

“I was looking for a nice beach house for a low-key retreat weekend for a group of my girlfriends, and Summer Reds was the perfect spot! The kitchen is very well stocked and has all the essentials, and the free bagels coupon was such a nice bonus!! The bedrooms are so well decorated and comfortable for everyone. The upstairs living area gets so much great light during the day and being able to watch the sunset from both porches was truly special. They even had great beach chairs to loan when you want to sit out on the beach, and the walkability to the beach is truly marvelous! (A very short and pleasant 5 min walk!) The hot tub was also so awesome. Brittany and Jason are very responsive and considerate hosts, and I can’t recommend staying here enough! Look forward to the next time I can come back and truly it is a 10/10 experience and house to stay at!”

Plenty of stores, best Butcher shop, restaurants, Brewery, wine, and the Corolla horse tours a family must. Beach is close and you won’t regret the home's pool and hot tub area. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse was built in 1875 and is one of the few lighthouses in North Carolina open to the public for climbing.
Set out to find Corolla's Wild Spanish Mustangs through three different ecosystems on an open-air Hummer tour through the Carova "outback."
Located in Timbuck II right next to Corolla Watersports the course is 18 holes winding throughout the natural landscapes. Open early to beat the heat and stay open late into the evening and night.
